James Alexander-Sinclair

An accomplished broadcaster, writer and speaker, James is an RHS Vice-President and Ambassador for Garden Design, having also served for ten years on the Council of the Royal Horticultural Society. He was awarded the prestigious Veitch Memorial Medal in 2022 for his outstanding contribution to horticulture and has judged show gardens at RHS events since 2006, as well as internationally in China, Russia and the United States.

Alongside his design work, James is an award-winning gardening writer and a familiar voice across television, live events and podcasts. He has written for leading publications including Gardeners’ World, Country Life, The Daily Telegraph and the Financial Times, while his popular podcast, The James and Joe Garden Show, co-hosted with Joe Swift, combines expert insight with humour and warmth.
