About Jason Gardener MBE

Jason Gardener MBE is most famous for leading the Great Britain team to Olympic Gold in 2004 and breaking the magical 10 second barrier for 100m. Speaking to corporate audiences, he outlines a long and difficult journey to Olympic victory, and what it takes to succeed in an elite team: “Make the most of your talent, seize every opportunity, learn to bounce back and plan to peak at exactly the right moment.”

As an Olympic Gold Medallist, former GB Athletics Captain & President of UK Athletics, and now Managing Director, Non-Executive Director, and Group Chief Culture Officer, Jason knows how to deliver results under pressure.

Jason represented Great Britain at the highest level in the world of athletics for 14 years.  He was British Team Captain on numerous occasions and was awarded an MBE in 2005. Furthermore, he has gained an enviable reputation as an inspiring motivational speaker. He is one of a rare breed of athletes who can speak authoritatively and articulately about what it really takes to get to the top. Jason is a person who understands how to plan for success and achieve dream goals even in the face of adversity. During his time as an elite athlete and Olympian he overcame crisis situations and still delivered when it mattered most.

Jason is an Olympic Champion, World Champion, Commonwealth Champion, European Champion, 60m, 100m and 4x100m Relay Team Sprinter.

Moreover he is an expert in managing pressure and developing mental resilience and is passionate about inspiring people, motivating others to capitalise on their talent, overcome their fears of failure and learn from past mistakes.
