John Suchet

Before moving into radio, John became one of the UK’s most recognisable television journalists and newscasters. During his distinguished career with ITN, he reported from around the world, covering major international events including the Iranian Revolution, the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan and the Philippines Revolution. He later became a leading news presenter, fronting ITN’s flagship bulletins including News at Ten. His outstanding contribution to broadcasting has been recognised with numerous accolades, including Television Reporter of the Year, Television Newscaster of the Year and the Royal Television Society’s prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.

Alongside his journalism career, John developed a deep and enduring passion for classical music, particularly the life and works of Ludwig van Beethoven.
