About Paul Mason
An award-winning journalist, author and broadcaster, Paul Mason has spent much of his career helping audiences understand the forces shaping the global economy, business landscape and modern society. His specialist areas include economic change, technology, globalisation, the future of work and the evolution of capitalism.
Paul served as Economics Editor at Newsnight before joining Channel 4 News as Culture and Digital Editor. Throughout his career, he has reported on major international developments and economic events, earning a reputation for making complex issues accessible, engaging and relevant to a broad audience.
Before moving into broadcast journalism, Paul worked across newspapers and trade publications, including as Deputy Editor of Computer Weekly, where he gained recognition for investigative reporting on business and technology.
An accomplished author, Paul has written several influential books, including Live Working or Die Fighting: How the Working Class Went Global, which explores the history of labour movements and the impact of globalisation on modern society.
His work has been recognised with numerous industry awards, including the Workworld Business Journalist of the Year Award, the Wincott Award for reporting from China and the Diageo African Business Reporting Award.
