Llewela Bailey has a wealth of experience in broadcasting, having worked in the industry for more than twenty-five years. She's also one of the most familiar faces in regional television, having worked as a main anchor for ITV Central in the West Midlands, as well as the East Midlands for two decades.
Llewela's career began in the early eighties when, after completing her journalist training at The London Broadcasting School, she joined BBC local radio in Northampton and Nottingham, as a reporter and latterly news producer. In 1988, she entered television as a sub-editor for ITV Central, becoming its late news presenter in Birmingham a year later. By the mid-nineties Llewela had joined the main presentation team, and could be seen nightly on the station's flagship programme Central Tonight', alongside veteran anchorman Bob Warman. As an experienced interviewer, Llewela has, over the years met a variety of subjects. From celebrities and politicians to the man in the street, and her reputation is that she's totally unflappable - although she does admit to being flustered when Donny Osmond grabbed her in a passionate clinch during a lunchtime bulletin!

Llewela left ITV in January 2009, following a couple of years spent as its pan-regional (east and west) presenter. During that latter period she also regularly fronted Central’s political programme 'The Lobby', and its weekly news broadcast 'Central Extra'. She also reported on the street children in Ukraine, and was allowed access to exclusively film The Acorns Children’s hospice in the Midlands for a six part series on its work. She now produces and presents corporate videos, and has hosted numerous conferences and high profile events. She also does media and communication training.
