As a freelance journalist she has written for The Guardian, The Daily Express, The Sunday Express, The Times, The Sunday Times, The Sun and numerous women’s magazines. Regular spots include a humorous weekly column for her local paper, a monthly column for Woman's Weekly, and a regular advice piece for Writing Magazine where she is the “agony aunt.”

Not in the least shy and retiring, JWJ is not the sort of writer to remain in her garret shunning publicity. She has shared her lack of cooking prowess with the nation on Ready, Steady, Cook, been screamed at on Kilroy and attempted to have her hair dyed the same colour as her book-jacket on The Salon. Other TV credits include Just for Starters, The Russell Grant Show, The Heaven and Earth Show, Loose Lips and The Wright Stuff.

Jane has also presented for both BBC Radio Kent and the BBC’s Politics Show and chairs panels each year at the Guildford Book Festival where she has interviewed Julian Clary, Richard Madeley, Victoria Hislop, Bel Mooney, Helen Lederer, Amanda Ross, Kate Mosse, Kay Burley, Jenny Eclair and a wide range of best-selling authors. She has hosted the award ceremony for the Romantic Novel of the Year Award for the last two years.

A lively and energetic speaker, she gives humorous after-dinner talks and lectures on her life as a writer, her experiences of the buy-to-let market – which her first novel was based on - the art of self-publicity and achieving personal goads either as simple entertainment or for inspirational/motivational purposes. Engagements have included award ceremonies, charity groups, dining circles, writing conferences and the Federation of Small Businesses.

Her motto is: never pass up the opportunity to be the centre of attention.
Jane is a writer, journalist and presenter who appears regularly on radio and TV. She is the author of four best-selling novels and two non-fiction books - Wannabe a Writer? - featuring contributions from a wide array of big name authors and journalists from Jilly Cooper to Frederick Forsyth to Michael Buerk with a foreword by Katie Fforde; and Wannabe a Writer We've Heard Of? which includes tips from a variety of celebrities.
