Graduating with a degree in English literature and a post grad in journalism Jac started her career as a journalist for BBC radio.
She then spent a few reckless years as a fashion model for Models One in the UK and abroad before deciding to turn a passion into a profession and attend Capel Manor to study Landscape Design. She then worked for a leading London based Design agency, establishing herself as a designer and consultant before setting up her own company - Flower Design in 1991
In the last sixteen years she has worked on a variety of commissions ranging from domestic gardens (including Nigel Mansel's and Terence Trent D'Arby's) to large civic projects such as Telford's Town Centre redevelopment. She has redeveloped the extensive formal gardens at Lord Newborough's estate in Shropshire, where she remains the Estate's design consultant and horticulturist.
As an experienced designer and garden expert, she has appeared on numerous television programmes: as presenter for Channel 5's Instant Gardens, Designer and co presenter on BBC1's Garden Invaders and Garden SOS and most recently Channel Four's live gardening show, The Great Garden Challenge, involving live pieces to camera, interviews with designers and the public. She also regularly contributes to BBC radio.
She has written for amongst others, the Sunday Times and the Sunday Telegraph as well as various national magazines and is well known within the profession in her capacity as Landscape Judge for various housing association competitions and the annual 'What House?' awards, the 'Oscars' of the building industry, which she has judged for the last five years.

She lives in Bristol with her three children.
