Described by the FT as “the next Lynne Franks”, Leila is currently Managing Director of ‘Halos n Horns’, a company which has made retail history by going head-to-head with the big manufacturers to produce kids’ toiletries that don’t harm kids’ health. Halos n Horns’ set-up was broadcast in November 2005 on ‘Make Me a Million’, a prime time show for Channel 4, in which Stelios (Easyjet) described Leila as “one to watch out for in the future”. At the age of 25, Leila is one of the UK’s youngest successful female entrepreneurs.

Together with her Business Mentor Ivan Massow, Leila beat the other two teams to win the competition. Halos n Horns expects to turn over £9.7m after its first year of trading and is now number 3 in the market place, behind Johnson & Johnson and Unilever and ahead of Simple. Its products are stocked in major UK supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsburys and Waitrose.

Leila has been nominated for a number of business awards and her company has already won its first award – the Flying Start award, after only 8 months of trading.

Since winning the show, Leila has been invited to speak at numerous high-profile events across the UK, including the London Stock Exchange, The Treasury, Aurora, Prowess, Everywoman and ‘Mind of an Entrepreneur’ at City Hall, where she has addressed audiences of hundreds of leading business men and women.

Leila juggles her business commitments with the demands of caring for her 2 year old son Troy and still manages to have time for a range of other interests.

Since the show aired, Leila has made numerous appearances on national television and radio, from light television such as Richard and Judy and BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour to CNBC news.

Leila has been the subject of numerous press articles and features, including nationals such as The Independent on Sunday, The Financial Times, The Daily Express and The Daily Mail. She has also been featured in numerous magazines including Grazia and Now. Halos n Horns has also been featured in everything from industry and in-store magazines to Vogue.
Leila will be writing a monthly health-related column in the national magazine Take a Break later this year and will be featured heavily in the book ‘Make It Your Business’.

Leila has already been featured in a number of business magazines giving business advice, including The Sharp Edge and was on the front cover of Young Entrepreneur Magazine. As a glamorous female entrepreneur, she has recently started doing fashion photo shoots modelling business wear.

Originally from Oxford, Leila commutes between her London offices and Oxford, where she stays at weekends with her son Troy.

Leila enjoys horse-riding and adrenaline sports including skiing, flying and sky-diving. Personal sponsors include Jasper Conran, MBT Trainers and IBM.
