With a strong emphasis on British ingredients, Cyrus changes his menu every two weeks to offer the most seasonally fresh vegetables, and his food features game and rare breed meat. He is an advisor to HRH Prince of Wales Mutton Renaissance Campaign, and he has been awarded an MBE for his commitment to skills development and training within his industry. In 2004 Cyrus was made honorary Professor of Thames Valley University’s prestigious London School of Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure.

Cyrus regularly features on television and radio programmes including Saturday Kitchen, MasterChef, The Paul O’Grady Show and Great Food Live. He has written two cookery books: Café Spice Namaste, and India, part of the International Cuisine series, which has since become required reading for catering students in the UK.

Cyrus is an ambassador for Investors in People, and was also one of the team involved in the NHS Better Food Programme. He has also set up restaurants in India and Australia, and has founded two bird sanctuaries in Goa.

Cyrus gives demonstrations of his unique brand of Indian cooking and speaks about his on his passions: lifelong learning, the environment and healthy eating.
