Caryn Franklin has worked in fashion for 25 years as a writer, presenter, producer and director. Formally a fashion editor and later co-editor of i-D magazine for 6 years, she is best known for presenting the BBC’s much loved Clothes Show for 12 years and BBC’s Style Challenge for 3 years. She has regularly appeared on GMTV, LK Today and This Morning as well as hosting her own programmes: Well Woman and Agony for Granada and The Frock and Roll Years for Carlton, also Planet Fashion, Granada Style Bible for Border TV and Style Academy for Discovery Home. She is currently filming a second series of Clothes Show now re-commissioned for UKTV Style.

She has produced and presented four documentaries Vivienne Westwood, Philip Treacy, Fashion Targets Breast Cancer and Matthew Williamson with the makers of BAFTA for ITV also presenting Agnes B for October Films and even played herself in a recent British Cinema hit Confetti.

Having interviewed everyone from Giorgio Armani to Yves Saint Laurent, as well as having strong opinions about women and image, Caryn is also regularly asked to 'guest' as a recognised authority on a variety of other programmes like Trevor Macdonald, The Wright Stuff, I love the Eighties, Nineties, Lunchtime News, 6 O’clock News.

She has written for a variety of magazines including i-D, Time Out, Marie Claire, Sunday Times and Woman's Own, Health Plus, Tonic Magazine and now currently Eve Magazine and produced four books Fashion UK (Conran Octopus), The Breast Health Handbook (a best seller) Franklin on Fashion and Woman in the Mirror (her first novel) were all published by Harper Collins.

As well as lecturing at colleges like R.C.A, Central St Martins, and London College of Fashion and consulting for a variety of fashion brands, Caryn has co-chaired the award winning Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaign with Amanda Wakeley, for ten years, raising millions of pounds, she has been instrumental in the Oxfam Clothes Code Campaign - travelling to the Dominican Republic for government and union talks. She has also been a patron of Eating Disorders Association for many years.

Caryn celebrates all bodies, and her website www.howtolookgood.com is dedicated to demystifying fashion. The How to Look Good brand is also responsible for roadshows, workshops and 20 e-books. This aspect of her work along with other projects including fashion show, studio shoots and video production and consultancy for clients like Marks and Spencer, Bhs, the Royal Mint, Platinum Guild, Lloyds TSB Bank, Tesco, Next and Evans is undertaken by Brilliant Productions a company she and her partner Jane Galpin (former Clothes Show producer) have run since 1999.

Caryn is also currently working in the bridal arena, she appeared on GMTV's Interactive Wedding for three years and has been a regular attraction at the National Wedding Show (Earls Court, Olympia and Birmingham NEC) for 5 years.
