Having always been magazine obsessed, at nineteen Rosie Green decided to enter British Vogue's Young Writer Of The Year. She won. With the winnings she bought a red beetle and drove to London from her university to take up the months work experience also offered as a prize.
Soon she was immersed in (and loving) the world of supermodels and stilettos and though she returned to university, as soon as she graduated she hacked down the M1 to take up another work experience post, this time on Elle. Here she worked as a fashion assistant and general dogsbody before being poached by Susannah and Trinny to work on their Daily Telegraph column.
After six months hilarity with the makeover queens (walking their pampered pooches and exposing designer duds) she returned to Elle, where she became the beauty assistant, spending her days reviewing spas, products and salons. She slowly worked her way up to beauty director and now splits her time between styling the A list for shoots and writing the beauty section.
She tries out all the latest products and procedures in the beauty world and garners advice from fashion industry greats. She also writes for the Evening Standard and Harvey Nichols magazine. She is 29, married and living in Battersea.
