Jules' presenting career started in 2003 with 'The Making of England', for ITV Meridian. He then developed, produced and presented ‘Revival’, also for ITV which recently gained an RTS nomination. Revival thrilled the audience with Jules’ attempts at learning to be everything from a medieval knight to a WW2 tank commander. Sharing his unique and contagious historical zeal, he led the audience into the colorful world of living history. The series has since also aired on The History Channel.
Since then, he's worked with Philip Schofield as historian and voice of reason on ITV’s 'Have I been here before?', and has just completed a second series due to TX in Spring 2006. He has also made a number of appearances as guest historian on 'This Morning'. Jules will be appearing shortly as resident historical expert on a new series for ITV entitled ‘Seeing the Dead’, which is also due to TX in Spring 2006, and is currently in production as part of the presenting team for ‘The Peoples Museum’ due for TX on BBC2 in April/May 2006.
“Thoroughly engaging and enthusiastic” with a genuine passion for getting 'hands on', Jules has emerged from behind the camera with a real talent for being in front of it. Outside of Archaeology and History his interests include wide ranging travel, renovating buildings and garden design, interests he continues to pursue whilst reconstructing his own 18th century house in mid Wales.
