Joe is the presenter of BBC2's flagship gardening show, Gardeners' World and also appears in the BBC's coverage of Chelsea, Hampton Court, Blenheim and Tatton Flower shows.

Joe has fronted Open Gardens, Small Town Gardens and Garden Invaders all for the BBC. Joe has been involved in the design of many gardens including the water garden at Kings Heath & The Bournville Garden. His book The Plant Room was published in March 2001. He also writes for the Sunday Times and Gardeners' World Magazine.

Joe is the design director at Modular Garden a garden design and build brand.
