Gary is a true Cockney, born in Stepney in the heart of London’s East End. Although coming from one of London’s toughest areas Gary gained A Levels in Geography, English and History at his local comprehensive school and spent his summers at The National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.

At 19 he attended the three year acting course at the top accredited drama school LAMDA. Leaving a term early before graduation Gary made his professional debut in theatre in Manchester.

His career in theatre, television and film over twenty years has been highly successful. From the West End to the Royal National Theatre and from low budget movies to award winning television playing the likes of George Cole’s MINDER Ray Daley, Gary has become a regular and well known face of British entertainment.

In 1997 Gary produced a short film called THE GAME which won a ‘highly recommended’ rosette at the London Short Film Festival and in July 2007 he had his first book, DEBT RESCUE, published – a comical insight into surviving the world of British soap opera which crept into the non-fiction best sellers’ list.

From his humble, culturally and ethnically diverse upbringing Gary’s drive and desire to create a humorous yet dramatic film about real people in real situations, regardless of race, creed and colour, has finally been realised with screenwriter Paul Rattigan and producer/director Mark Greenstreet. This has produced his first creative credit with the highly topical and ground-breaking script of HOUSE HUSBANDS – to be filmed in 2010.

Gary will also be Co- Producer on the screen adaptation of Sheridan’s iconic stage play THE RIVALS directed by Hollywood great JOHN LANDIS. This is also set to be filmed in 2010.

He is married to the TV Presenter Wendy Turner Webster and they have two young sons.
