Lynnette Peck Bateman has had a successful eighteen-year career in journalism as a magazine editor, launch editor, associate editor and fashion, beauty and health director working for the following magazines and newspapers: Cosmopolitan; Delicious; Eve; InStyle; New Woman; Now; The Daily Express; The Daily Telegraph and Vogue Australia.

She was on UK newspapers from 1992-1995, was Beauty Director of New Woman Australia from 1996-1999, came back to the UK to launch Cosmopolitan Hair & Beauty magazine in 1999, was the launch Beauty Director for Eve magazine in 2001, launched Celebrity Homes magazine in 2003 and was Associate Editor of Now magazine from 2004-2006. GMTV filmed all of her ‘at-home’ shoots with celebrities when she was Editor of Celebrity Homes magazine.

Since 2007 she has launched three hotel magazines (Malmaison, Hotel du Vin, De Vere hotels), been acting Deputy Editor of Woman’s Own, acting Editor of Delicious, re-launched three contract magazines for a publisher in Dubai and either written for or consulted on many other magazines.

Lynnette is a member of both the British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME) and Cosmetic Executive Woman (CEW).
She also styles photo shoots for both editorial and commercial clients. Celebrities she has ‘styled’ include Sophie Anderton, Lysette Anthony, Lord Brocket, Emma Bunton, Caprice, Charlotte Church, Jenny Éclair, David & Carrie Grant, Patricia Hodge, Jools Oliver, Gail Porter, Harriet Scott, Toyah, Paul Young and many others.

Lynnette has also worked with and has friendships with many experienced hair and make-up artists such as Nicky Clarke, Dani Guinsberg, Gemma Kidd, Trevor Sorbie, Charles Worthington and Andrew and Liz Collinge.

She also does personal shopping for private individuals and can tailor looks to their specific needs.

She has extensive TV and radio experience and has appeared as a beauty, fashion and celebrity expert on FIVE, GMTV, ITV1 and SKY. Her GMTV show reel is on her website www.lynnettepeck.com. She was also the ‘face’ of Neutrogena in the late 1990’s.

She is currently freelance Fashion & Beauty Director for Saga magazine, Style Editor of Private Banking magazine and she consults for public relations agencies and brands. She is also in discussion with a publisher about a book. She married property developer and travel writer Nick Bateman (who was also in the first series of TV reality show Big Brother) in 2007.
