About Sarah Newton
Sarah Newton is a globally recognised authority on youth engagement, motivation and achievement. An author, speaker, consultant and media expert, Sarah is passionate about helping young people develop the mindset, resilience, commitment and confidence needed to become high achievers, while supporting parents, schools and organisations to better understand and connect with younger generations.
Hailed as “The Supernanny for Teens” by TV Times, Sarah has spent more than two decades transforming the lives of young people, including some of the most disengaged and apathetic teenagers, through practical, proven methods grounded in real-life experience. With a no-nonsense, down-to-earth approach, Sarah focuses on strategies that genuinely work, combining humour, storytelling and practical tools to inspire lasting behavioural change.
A seasoned and highly respected speaker, Sarah has shared her expertise with millions through television, radio, print media and live events. She was the first teen coach in the UK to appear regularly on television and hosted her own TV series, which aired internationally across America, Australia, New Zealand, Poland and Scandinavia. Her work has featured on most major UK television channels, with one programme attracting an audience of one in four people in the UK.
Sarah is frequently called upon for expert commentary and consultancy, having worked with organisations including MTV, Paramount, ITV, the BBC and NCS, while also advising youth brands, media organisations and marketing agencies seeking deeper understanding of younger audiences. Her innovative and holistic methods have been adopted in schools, homes and organisations to bridge generational divides and improve engagement, communication and aspiration.
Before launching her consultancy, Sarah served as a police officer in the Metropolitan Police, giving her unique frontline insight into the challenges facing young people and families. She combines this experience with professional coaching qualifications through Coach U, Comprehensive Coaching UK and the Academy of Family Coach Training, where she became the first UK graduate. She is also a certified Reality Therapist, blending expertise with sensitivity, common sense and humour to create meaningful impact.
Passionate about empowering young people to make better choices, Sarah developed a personalised Student Success Programme — a practical and holistic approach to studying, motivation and exam preparation. The programme has achieved remarkable results, with more than 90% of participating students improving grades across multiple subjects.
Sarah is also the bestselling author of Help! My Teenager is an Alien – the Everyday Guide for Parents, later translated into Polish and Chinese and named one of The Telegraph’s “10 Best Guides to Teens”, alongside The Teen Years – Don’t Get Mad; Get Through It, a practical guide for navigating adolescence.
Known for her relatable style and imaginative storytelling — often drawing inspiration from superheroes, stories and pop culture — Sarah is an engaging and memorable speaker who challenges audiences to raise expectations, embrace possibility and create futures that propel young people forward.

Client Feedback
"Thank you for your fascinating lecture. The audience responded very positively to what you said and lots of discussion came from your talk to do with the nature of being on a threshold and what that means to them. I think you hit a nerve and I would like to applaud your willingness to offer something a bit different."
Monkton School
"Thank you very much for coming to our Year 9 SATs preparation evening yesterday and providing us and the parents with such an interesting and informative programme. I am sure that the advice and suggestions will greatly benefit our pupils in their forthcoming SATs examination in May this year."
Hazeley School
"Sarah was extremely professional in her approach, treating our students as young adults from day one. She worked with them through a wide number of barriers in an extremely informal, yet often quite entertaining way. The sessions involved discussion around personal motivators, personal blockers, perception, coaching, discipline, revision techniques, learning styles and personally design of revision timetabling."
