Paula started work as model in the early 80’s and worked in London, Paris, Tokyo, Milano shooting for Vogue, Harpers Bazaar her clients included Valentino, Armani and Yves St Laurent.

In 1984 Paula moved to New York and worked for the top model agency Elite, her client list grew and she became the face of Clinique, Burberry and Gap. In 1988 she was invited to cast “Changes” commercial for VW which made her a household name.

In 1990 Paula became a co-present of Good Sport the BBC primetime series with John Fashanu. This was followed in 1991 by Swank the first weekly clothes show which she co-presented with David Emmanuel. Paula also appeared as Miss Red Button in Jasper Carrot’s, “Detectives”

1995 saw Paula appear in many films. Mad Dogs and Englishmen, Mark Dawson, Life of a Surreal Killer a comedy film for which she won Rainbow Film Festival’s ‘Number 1 film’. In 1996 she appeared in the film The Ring co-starring alongside Nastassji Kinski.

Paula is a “petrol head” and in 1997 she presented The Road Show where she drove a unique variety of vehicles from a Chieftain Tank to a Corniche Rolls Royce.

All of this then led Paula to write her biography “Instructions Not Included” which was published in 1996 and became a bestseller.

During the above period Paula also ran her own production company, “Tusk Force Productions” and raised £250,000 from VW worldwide to fund a documentary, Mothers of Nature, a true story of women throughout history who dedicated their lives to elephants.

In 1989 she founded and chaired Tusk Force a charity created to put a stop to the ivory trade. Due to her efforts she received the Ark, a prestigious award, only given to four other people – Robert Redford, Sting, Queen Noor of Jordon and Prince Charles.

Her other charity works include putting the first all female team together to undertake the 3 Peak Challenge, £22,000 was raised for Children’s Aid Direct as Paula wanted a mobile school for the Bosnia war zone.

Then in 2000 Paula left for New Zealand to study “Entrepreneurship at Christ Church College. This involved studying business law, intellectual property, marketing, presentation etc.

Paula is currently filming the 2nd series of “Britain’s Next Top Model” after a very successful first series, highlights of which were aired and received with much success in the US.
Ex model and TV presenter Paula Hamilton is also an actress and crazy about cars and elephants. She is an ideal host for corporate events and a passionate speaker.
